Theoretical Background:

 
 

The root folder: CrossPlatformExample will contain 4 folders:

Android – Under this folder will be our Android native project which is programmed in Java

IOS – Under this folder will be our IOS native project

WindowPhone – Under this folder will be our WindowsPhone native project

XPlat – Under this folder will reside all our cross platform resources

Res – Resources that are shared across all platforms, such as images and files.

ExternalXplatLibraris – External Libraries that our XPlat will use

BuildSupport – Under this folder will be our platform specific build projects, each build project will handle building the XPlat common code to its specific platform.

Android – Under this folder will be all our Android related files and folders that will handle building the XPlat common code to Android

IOS – Same for IOS

WindowsPhone – Same for WindowsPhone

Windows – Our XPlat development will be done in Windows in VisualStudio, so in this folder will be our Windows related build projects.

            Code – Under this folder will be our XPlat code
inc – Our C++ header files

src – Our c++ source files

test – Our test code

 
 

In this article I just gave the basic file structure that we will build upon and expand as we progress in our XPlat project later on.
